I’ve had my blush society plus tutu for a while now, and I just couldn’t figure out how to incorporate it into my wardrobe. So, it just sat in my closet unworn for months, which should be a crime. Finally, I decided to break it out and come up with ways to style it that are practical and wearable. These two outfits are what I came up with.

Outfit 1: I paired the skirt with a chambray Ava and Viv top I got from target a few years ago. I dressed the look up with a silver glitter clutch from Payless and silver glitter Steve Madden heels. I think this was my favorite outfit because I mean – tutus and glitter!

Outfit 2: This time I paired the skirt with a white tank from Torrid, a white lace top from Monif C from a few years ago, nude wedges from Xehar Shoes, and a bag from Boohoo. I love the look of the feminine lace with the flowing tulle skirt.

I went to bed last night next to my husband, feeling so grateful to have the love of someone who cared for and loved me unconditionally. Then I started thinking about how many women are looking for that same exact thing, but have not found it or don’t feel worthy of it. I just want to remind you that you are more than worthy of everything that you desire, and I want to be there to help you achieve it.

I’ve been having this quarter life crisis where I ‘ve been struggling trying to figure out what is next for me. I recently had to leave a job of almost 10 years, one that I was good at but was not passionate about. Now here I was no clue which direction to go, but just knowing that I didn’t want to find another job that just paid the bills but didn’t excite me. I wanted a career! Something that I was excited to do, work at, and grow every day. After weeks of obsessing over what I should do, I realized I was passionate about my online community. My Kendra Curvy brand has brought so many wonderful people and oppurtunities into my life. I’ve been able to reach and help so many people and nothing has made me more happy than the way I feel interacting with you all. The only problem was I had been doing this for years and not really making much money from it. Mostly because I never really looked for new ways to monetize because I already had a full time job, this was just a hobby. I’ve decided that I no longer want this to be just a hobby, I want THIS to be my career!

At first I doubted myself because I’ve never started a business before, and because I doubted the value of my advice and opinions. Over time I came to realize that every business had to start somewhere, and that my opinions did in fact matter. I had already helped so many with my words of encouragement and advice, I could do so much more with a larger platform. So I’m doing it! I’m chasing my dream of becoming a Digital Influencer and a friend to the masses because I’m worth finally doing what my heart has called me to do. I’m worth this and so much more, and so are YOU!!

mac-taraji-henson-makeup-collection-lipstick-and-mineralize-skinfinish

A few weeks ago MAC Cosmetics launched a new line in collaboration with Taraji P. Henson. I was lucky enough to hop online and order a few things before what I wanted sold out. I picked up the lipstick in Strip Me Down and the Mineralize Skinfinishes in Taraji Glow and Highlight the Truth. See below for swatches and my review.

MAC | Strip Me Down Lipstick

First up is the only lipstick in the entire collection, Strip Me Down. As the name leads you to believe, this beautiful lipstick is in the nude family. It is a rich deep brown with a hint of dark peach, which makes the color more fun and alive. A lot of nudes can wash you out, especially if you are a woman of color, but this lipstick brings life to the lips in a natural way.

MAC | Taraji Glow Mineralized Skinfinish Natural

Next up is the Mineralized Skinfinish Natural in Taraji Glow. This is a beautiful brick colored blush that is perfect for the fall. In fact, this color is perfect year round for my ladies with a little more melanin. The color payoff is absolutely amazing, and the product glides onto and blends into the skin like butter. It is probably my favorite item from the collection.

MAC | Highlight the Truth Mineralize Skinfinish

Last, but most certainly not least, we have the Mineralize Skinfinish in Highlight the Truth. I usually go for more gold or champagne highlights, because I find them to be more flattering on my complexion. I must say that this peachy, pink highlight gives me LIFE! OMG, when well-blended this highlight makes you look like you are glowing from within. I think I like it because it pulls way more peach than pink pink on me and pair exceptionally well with the blush from this collection.

All in all, I am very pleased with all of my purchases, as I did buy all of these things myself. MAC really has never disappointed me, and I saw how GORGEOUS Taraji looked in the ads, so my expectations were very high. Some of these items are sold out, so be sure to check places like Ebay if you see anything you like, and it’s no longer available on MAC’s site. Let me know if any of you were able to pick up any of these items down below in the comments.

Kendra-Curvy-plus-size-fashion-beach-babe
I love the summer time, but I love fall even more! Since summer is going to be coming to an end soon, me and the hubby decided to take a trip to the beach.

I’ve been dealing with quite a bit of stress these past couple of months, but the beach has been my saving grace. There’s something so peaceful and calming about staring out at something larger than the eye can see, and realizing the size of your problems pale in comparison.

I went to the mall last Friday to get some Mongolian BBQ (because I’m an addict, obvie!), and whenever I go in a mall I have to ALWAYS swing by Sephora and Torrid. Well, when I was in Torrid I stumbled upon this beautiful floral hi-low blouse that was giving me all the fall feels. It is so flowy and lightweight that it is even appropriate for the end of summer. I put it on over a pair of short shorts (look at the girl with the daisy dukes on!), and a plain black tank, and wala – beach babe! All of the details for this out are tagged below.
