I’ve had my blush society plus tutu for a while now, and I just couldn’t figure out how to incorporate it into my wardrobe. So, it just sat in my closet unworn for months, which should be a crime. Finally, I decided to break it out and come up with ways to style it that are practical and wearable. These two outfits are what I came up with.
Outfit 1: I paired the skirt with a chambray Ava and Viv top I got from target a few years ago. I dressed the look up with a silver glitter clutch from Payless and silver glitter Steve Madden heels. I think this was my favorite outfit because I mean – tutus and glitter!
Outfit 2: This time I paired the skirt with a white tank from Torrid, a white lace top from Monif C from a few years ago, nude wedges from Xehar Shoes, and a bag from Boohoo. I love the look of the feminine lace with the flowing tulle skirt.
This weekend was my father-in-law’s retirement party at the Santa Ynez Equestrian Center here in California. Now, I’m a city girl to my core, but it was nice to get away for a day and just enjoy the company of the ones I loved. Well, I really didn’t have a choice since my phone said my service was at a 1X, I didn’t even know that was a thing.
As we pulled into the property the first thing we saw were these absolutely beautiful horses. I wanted to ride off into the sunset on one of them, but I don’t know how to ride a horse so I settled for just petting them. As we entered the party we were greeted by two friends of my step mother-in-law, with a form for us to sign. It was a waiver asking us to acknowledge that we were on a “horse property”. I’m still not completely sure what that was about, do these horses eat people or something?!
I wore this super cute and comfy dress I ordered from Rebdolls. I don’t know why, but when I was looking in my closet for something that was at least a tiny bit country this dress jumped out at me. I wanted to wear it with some cowgirl boots, but I didn’t think it would be financially responsible to buy a pair of $100+ boots to wear just once (but in the interest of full disclosure, I was REALLY close to heading to boot barn before the party). I opted instead for these super cute, and dare I say CHIC pair of fringe sandals I got from Steve Madden. Ever since I got these bad boys I’ve worn them every chance I get. There’s no better death than a ‘Slay by Tassle’, and these shoes did the whole party in, honey!
